The best pg-13 movie ever!!! - What Lies Beneath Reviews

This movie and The Others are the only other PG-13 horror movies that is worth watching. I loved this movie due to its originality and its suspense. This movie kept me guessing the the end and i enjoyed it very much. I highly recommend this movie to every horror fan!!!

"What Lies Beneath" works because of the strong direction and the performances. The story revolves around Claire(a terrific Michele Pfeiffer.)who begans hearing things and noticing strange things happening around her, unfortunately she gets a long, silly subplot involving her next door neighbours, once aside the movie does kick into high gear with Harrison Ford not playing his usual hero characters. His role is small and not really showy, but this showcases the beautiful and talented Pfeiffer. With the usual Hitchcock gags and the standard scare tactics, I really like this movie. I must say I think it's one really good ghost story to come out since "The Others."

I think this is a really good movie the first time i watched it it scared me but the second time it wasnt that great. I dont think the film was the best thriller eva or even one of the best but i really love this film. I think the story of this is great too and its not a film i will for get quikly. If people got really really scared from this they shouldnt watch scary films. I also think that the idea of the film was great and even if u have seen it loads of times its still a really good movie and its something you would watch in a group with your mates for a good night. The actors were great too i think the cast was a really good cast and the director did really well. I just want to say to people too that if you dont like this movie you should keep watching it because you may not understand the plot of the story line.I hope everyone watches it at least once more time and i hope you all enjoy it.

Terrific thriller. The scariness of this movie lessens after you watch it ten thousand times but it is still really good as a movie. It is directed with style and vision, very elegantly. Michelle Pfeiffer is terrific in this movie. This movie will make you jump, laugh, and it can be pretty creepy if you're alone in the dark. I think this is a classic movie and the second best of 2000 (the first being "The Emperor's New Groove"). This is just some of the amazing things Hitchcock would've done with special effects. Except this movie isn't as boring as his are. People say this movie is slow but I think it's entertaining. Long, yes, but very good and exciting. His movies are slow and stupid and pointless. And you'll see homages to "Rear Window" and be reminded of "Vertigo" and "Rebecca" and what not. Forget cinema history and lose yourself in this great movie.
